JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Lead Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparing high-quality food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has experience leading others on the line. As Lead Line Cook, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth service by setting the pace, supporting other line cooks, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the line during service, ensuring timing, coordination, and consistency across dishes
  • Set up and stock your station with all necessary supplies and assist others as needed
  • Prep ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards (e.g., chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, preparing sauces)
  • Cook and plate dishes to spec, maintaining presentation and flavor consistency
  • Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef regarding daily needs, prep lists, or any issues
  • Ensure your station and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift
  • Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and plating standards
  • Train and support new or less experienced line cooks as needed
  • Follow and enforce all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Handle leftover food properly, label and store in compliance with guidelines

Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a line cook or similar kitchen role required
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a kitchen setting is strongly preferred
  • Proficient in cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to multitask and lead by example in a high-pressure environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and food safety
  • Clear communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
